Richard and Linda Goad are the pastors of River of Life Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They celebrated 40 years of marriage in May, 2011. They have three adult children, daughter Laurie and twin sons, Ryan and Jeff, and five grandchildren, Austin, Abigail, Avery, Allison, and Anna.
Richard and Linda met at Southwestern Christian University. Both received degrees from SCU: Richard in Theology and Linda in business.
Pastor Goad has since received his master’s degree from Southwestern. Linda is in the banking industry.
Upon their marriage, Richard and Linda immediately entered ministry together their first summer as they served as interim pastors on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Greasewood, Arizona. After graduation, Richard and Linda moved to California (Richard’s home) and pastored for seven years in San Diego and Los Angeles. They returned to Oklahoma (Linda’s home) in 1979. Richard and Linda pastored Christian Faith in Edmond almost twelve years before accepting appointment as Director of Discipleship Ministries of the Heartland Conference of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. He served in this role for ten years, developing the Conference School of Ministry while also serving as the National Talent Director for the IPHC for nine years. Richard also served as a member of the Heartland Conference Board for twenty years. Richard and Linda accepted the pastorate of River of Life Church in the summer of 2002. Their ministry at ROL has been fruitful as the congregation has experienced excellent growth while assisting in the planting of three metro churches, the expansion of the ROL facilities plus the completion of construction of four churches in Cuba, Panama, Peru, and Belize. Richard has led more than twenty trips to mission fields around the world.
Pastor Richard states his vision of ministry is serving the Kingdom of God through Loving God and Loving People.
